WSOP mobile app launched by EA | iGaming Business

With the 43rd annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournament series currently taking place in Las Vegas, video games developer Electronic Arts (EA) Incorporated has partnered with Caesars Interactive Entertainment Incorporated to launch a new play-for-fun poker app for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch devices globally.

The new World Series of Poker Presented by EA poker app has been designed to appeal to ‘novices and pro players alike’ with ‘features and functions pulled straight from live action’ including the chance to compete for ‘virtual bracelets and rings, VIP rooms and pro status levels’.

“EA and Caesars have teamed up to bring the most authentic poker game to the App Store,” said Bernard Kim, Social and Mobile Publishing Senior Vice-President for EA.

“We've taken the adrenaline rush of playing at the table and combined it with stats to help you anticipate your opponents' moves for a truly fun and competitive game that fans can play anytime. No other app captures the true poker experience like World Series of Poker Presented By EA.”

Available to download via the Apple iTunes Store and, coming soon, Google Play, the World Series of Poker Presented by EA mobile app allows players to enjoy multiple game modes including Texas hold‘em and Omaha poker and compete against friends and other aficionados from around the world at any time via Facebook with anonymous login options planned for the near future.
