Todd George has been named general manager of Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Ind. Also Penn National Gaming Inc. (PENN) named Rafael Verde as general manager of Zia Park Casino in New Mexico.
A recent survey indicates that a majority of New Jersey residents oppose permitting casinos outside Atlantic City. The percentage opposed to such locations was 56 percent.
The shares of Full House Resorts Inc. (FLL) have been upgraded by The Street Ratings, raising them from “hold” to “buy.”
RBC Capital has increased its target price for the shares of Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) from the previous $45 to $50 per share. Lazard Capital also raised their target price for the LVS shares from $48 to $52.

West Virginia Lottery officials reported that gaming revenues during the month of August totaled $116.3 million, down about $2.6 million from the revenue reported in 2011.
Mississippi officials blamed Hurricane Isaac with dampening the spirits of gamblers during August. Revenues fell 3.4 percent to $178.4 million.
The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians are planning to build a $26 million casino in Mackinaw City, Mich. The Tribe also operates a casino in Emmet County, south of Petoskey, Mich.
